Welcome to our terms and conditions of sale and delivery.

These terms and conditions apply to customers located in the UK ("Customers") who access the www.bikesonlinestore.co.uk website ("Website"). Please read these terms and conditions carefully before accessing and/or ordering any goods from the Website.

 If you access the Website, and/or place an order for goods, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.

General

  1. bikesonlinestore.co.uk is a site operated by Global Online Stores Limited Limited, ( Global Online Stores or “us” ) a Company registered in Wales under Company Number 14152923. Its registered address is 53 Mynachdy Road Cardiff CF14 3DX. We sell and supply bicycles, bicycle and other outdoor activity equipment, clothing and accessories in the course of our trade and business.   1. These terms and conditions shall apply to all of our quotations, orders (including internet and telephone orders) and contracts for the sale or supply of Goods by Bikes Online Store.
  1. The Customer ("you") shall mean any person, sole trader, partnership, business, body corporate or other entity detailed in the appropriate section of the sales invoice/order form and shall include all successors, heirs and assigns. Where a person deals entirely as a consumer, their legal rights shall remain unaffected. Any reference to you within these terms and conditions shall be as a consumer buyer unless specified otherwise. If you use Our Website in any way and make an order on behalf of another person you warrant that you have full authority to do so and you accept personal responsibility for every act or omission by you.
  1. The "Goods" shall mean the items detailed in the appropriate section of the sales/order form and it shall be a core term of the contract between you and us that any and all ancillary items are additional to such contract unless specifically detailed within the sales invoice/order form.
  2. The "Price" shall mean the amount payable to Bikes online Store for the Goods plus VAT if applicable (at the rate applicable from time to time), and the amount paid for the supply of delivery services unless otherwise stated. All of our prices are listed at the RRP given to us by our suppliers or at a price otherwise shown to be paid.   Unless stated otherwise prices include VAT where applicable. The price of the Goods does not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date you place your order and which will be displayed on a page of Our Website before we ask you to pay
  3. You should note that prices quoted may vary during the currency of brochures and displays on our website (upwards or downwards) and current prices are quoted at the time of order. All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.
    • Because we rely on our suppliers for the goods to be sold on our website, we do not guarantee that Goods advertised on our website are available. We may change these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to you are those posted here on Our Website on the day you order Goods.
    • The price of Goods may be changed by us at any time. We will never change a price so as to affect the price charged to you at the time when you buy those Goods.

The Contract.

  1. The presentation of our goods on our website bikesonlinestore.co.uk does not constitute a binding offer on our part.
    • We do not accept offers from customers located outside the UK .
    • If a product ordered by you is not permanently available, we reserve the right not to accept your offer or to withdraw from the contract
  2. Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing said or done by us is an acceptance of an order until we confirm acceptance in writing, referring to the order
    • If we do not have all of the Goods you order in stock, we will offer you alternatives. If this happens you may:
      • accept the alternatives we offer;
      • cancel all or part of your order.
  1. If an administrative error has resulted in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct that price and notify you accordingly. In these circumstances, it will be deemed that a contract has not been entered into and you will not be bound to continue with your purchase. You will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed at the correct price, however, should you choose not to do so, your monies will be refunded to your credit/debit card in full. The repayment of such monies paid to us will be the extent of our liability to you in the event of pricing errors
  1. When placing an order you agree that all the information given is accurate and complete. By placing an order, you make an offer to us to purchase the products you have selected. We will always make every effort to supply you with the products listed in your order confirmation however, due to stock availability there could sometime be a short delay. If there is a delay in despatching your order, you will be notified via email.
  1. We at Bikes online Store reserve the right to amend technical, typographical or clerical errors in any order without notice. In addition, you shall ensure that all details contained within the order are correct and we shall not accept any liability for any error or inaccuracy in any order. 
  1. After placing an order, you will receive an email from us that acknowledges our receipt of your order for the Goods, and the delivery services you have requested from the delivery service providers as shown on our website (the “Order Acknowledgement”). Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted.
  • Your order constitutes an offer to Bikes Online Store to buy Goods. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you upon receiving the full payment for the goods by sending you an email that confirms all of the relevant details of your order and sets out the expected dispatch and delivery dates for the Goods (the "Order Confirmation"). The contract between you and Bikes Online Store Limited will only be formed when we send you the Order Confirmation.
  1. The contract will relate only to those Goods whose dispatch (by the delivery service provider) we have confirmed in the Order Confirmation. We will not be obliged to supply any other Goods which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such Goods has been confirmed in a separate Order Confirmation.
  1. All goods are subject to availability.
  1. Where a person attempts to buy goods where minimum age limits apply, the contract will be deemed void where the individual is below the required age limit.

Cancellation and refunds

  1. The following rules apply to cancellation of your order:
    • If you have ordered Goods, but not received them, you may cancel your order without giving a reason, at any time within 14 days of your order. You will have no obligation and we will return your money.
    • If you have ordered Goods, and received them, you may cancel your order at any time within 14 days of the date you received them. You
    • must tell us that you wish to cancel. You must also send the Goods back to us within that same 14 day period.
    • We will return your money subject to the following conditions:
      • we receive the Goods in a condition in which we can re-sell them at full price, in new condition, with labels and original packaging intact.
      • You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Goods while they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.
      • You comply with our procedure for returns and refunds. We cannot return your money unless we know who sent them.
      • You are responsible for the full cost of returning the Goods.
  1. We have no obligation to refund to you, your cost of re-packing and returning the Goods.
  • In any of the above scenarios, we will return your money within 14 days.
  • This does not affect your statutory rights

 Cancellation by Bikes Online Store 

  1. We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
    • We have insufficient stock to deliver the Goods you have ordered;
    • The delivery service provider does not deliver to your area;
    • One or more of the Goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers; or
    • We have reason to suspect that there is a risk of a fraudulent transaction.

If we do cancel your contract, we will notify you by email and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us (in respect of Goods , and cost of delivery if charged by us,   (unless amounts in respect of delivery are refunded directly by the delivery service provider), from your debit or credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 14 days of the date of cancellation. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Delivery of Goods and Charges.

  1. The delivery charge is calculated on basket spend.  When you add products to your shopping basket the appropriate charge will be added automatically. All delivery charges will be shown clearly throughout the checkout process. We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. The delivery charge depends on the size, weight and delivery postcode of the product ordered and the delivery service which may be available.  Where necessary we will contact you if we cannot fulfil your order based on the generic delivery costs. 
  1. Standard delivery of stocked items is typically within 3 to 15 working days for all goods Ordered from our website store. Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra 2 working days. Please note that if your order is made up of a combination of items, deliveries may, on occasion be made separately. We reserve the right to make a partial delivery, as long as this is reasonable and is necessary for speedy processing. We also reserve the right to alter or amend delivery times in exceptional circumstances.
  1. Delivery times quoted above can vary depending on stock availability including that of our suppliers and delivery location of the customer.
  1. We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified in this section, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. However, where delivery times and dates are given, they are for general guidance only and we will use our reasonable endeavours to deliver the Goods within the times and we will not be held liable for late delivery of Goods caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected or unusual delay. In the event that we fail to meet a specified delivery date you will have the option of either cancelling your order and receiving a full refund, or continuing with the order and accepting a refund of any additional delivery charge we have made.
  1. Time for delivery specified on the order, if any, is an estimate only and time shall not be of the essence.
    • Goods are sent at our risk until signed for by you or by any other person at the address you have given to us.
    • All Goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over. If no one of that age is at the address when the delivery is attempted the Goods may be retained by the driver. When your Goods arrive, it is important that you check immediately the condition and quantity. If your Goods have been damaged in transit, you must refuse the delivery and immediately contact us by email so that we may dispatch a replacement quickly and minimise your inconvenience.
    • Any delivery damage, in any event, must be notified to us by email within 12 hours of receipt. No claims will be entertained outside this time as our couriers also have these constraints.
    • Signing "Unchecked", "Not Checked" or similar is not acceptable.
  2. Once Goods have been delivered to you or your agent, they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss, damage or destruction.
  1. We do not deliver outside of the United Kingdom. The delivery to addresses in certain remote UK locations e.g. Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands, there may be an additional delivery charge and slightly longer delivery lead-time. This charge will be calculated on an individual basis using the registered billing address as a calculator for shipping costs, and the size and weight of the box needed to dispatch your goods.  

Events beyond our control

  1. We shall accept no liability in respect of any failure to deliver Goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, any pandemic related extra-ordinary situations, flood, fire, explosion or accident, acts of God, war or actions by third parties.

Product Descriptions and Details.

  1. We endeavour to provide accurate photos and descriptions of products on our website at all times, these are generally provided by the manufacturer and/or suppliers. Individual products or product lines maybe subject to a minor change in specification or colour, this should not however, affect the overall performance you would expect from an item. You may find instances where an image is marked "illustration only", this generally means that the exact product image isn't available, i.e.. the picture may show a brown bike although the description clearly states that it's white. Where this is the case you should assume the accuracy of the product description and not the picture. If you have any concerns then please contact Bike Online Store Customer Care.

Colours, Specifications, Weights & Sizes

  1. Representations of colour online are as accurate as our photographic and electronic processes will allow. Please note that colour online can also be affected by the calibrations of different output devices.
  1. All weights, specifications and sizes are supplied as a guide only and are approximate.  For an exact reference please contact us before placing your order.
  1. Images are used to give a representation of the bike / goods you are buying they are not always relevant to the goods in the description as stock photos are used in many cases.  If you are in any doubt please contact us before placing your order.

Returns,  Faulty Goods, Refunds Policy Bikes Online Store

  1. For items that are faulty within 30 days of purchase we will offer a full refund, repair or exchange. Please note that exchanges are only possible by prior arrangement in store and not by post or couriers.
  1. Within 06 months of purchase, we will either seek to replace the product or repair it free of charge. Please speak to a member of our team and we will come up with a solution that is right for you.
  1. Within 12 months we will still try our best to help but can ask a customer to prove an item was faulty when they bought it if they ask for a repair or replacement after 6 months of purchase. Again please contact us for a solution that is right for you.
  1. At BIKESONLINE STORE we provide our customers with a range of technical products. This is why, in certain circumstances, we may need to send your faulty product for a more detailed inspection. To make it simple, please ensure that the product is dry and free of dirt.
  1. Sometimes you just buy the wrong product and this isn't a problem at all. You can return unwanted items purchased online to our warehouse or to our Neath Store but with prior arrangements please to avoid any inconvenience to you. We will happily issue a full refund or an exchange within 28 days of purchase, providing you have proof of purchase, so please remember to hang on to your receipt!, but please remember if you have to use delivery service you will need to bear the return cost or postage as may be the case. It's really important that the item is in a perfect resalable condition (including all the packaging and tags).
  2. However, there are a few items that sadly cannot be returned, and this is either due to health & safety or hygiene reasons and they Can Only be Returned if they are faulty, i.e.
    • Safety equipment
    • Headwear, including climbing, riding and cycling helmets AND
    • items that have been used, soiled, or damaged through misuse, including external factors, such as weather, chemical components, general wear and tear and accidents.
    • Misused products include items used for a purpose different to that intended, as well as items not looked after.
  1. It is important that any unwanted product, unless faulty, is returned in a resalable condition.

    We will reimburse you (by the method used to pay for the original transaction) the amount in relation to the product you don't want. This includes the cost of delivery to you but not the cost of returning the product to us.

    If you wish to exercise your legal rights to reject products because they are faulty or misdescribed, Please contact our Customer Care team customercare@bikesonlinestore.co.uk and we will come up with a solution that is right for you.
  1. This does not affect your statutory rights.

By Post, Couriers

  1. To return a product purchased from us, you can make your own arrangements through any postal carrier. We recommend you use a service that can provide proof of postage as the items remain your responsibility until we receive your parcel. Some services offer levels of compensation in case your parcel becomes lost or damaged. We suggest this is considered especially when returning high value items.

Guarantees 

  1. All guarantees in respect of Goods are provided entirely by the manufacturers/UK importers and Suppliers and are subject to terms contained therein. You are reminded to complete all warranty cards/documents upon receipt of the Goods and adhere to the warranty conditions where appropriate.

3rd Party Rights

  1. Notwithstanding any other provisions of these terms and conditions, nothing in these terms and conditions shall confer, nor is it intended to confer, a benefit on any third party (for the purposes of the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or for any other purpose).

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  1. Your access to the Bikes online store website may occasionally be restricted to allow for the introduction of new products or features, site development, maintenance or repairs. We will attempt to restore the service as soon as we reasonably can. You also agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you.
  1. Although we endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the complete security of any data you disclose online. You accept the inherent security risks of providing personal information and dealing online over the Internet and Bikes Online Store cannot be held responsible for any breach of security unless it is due to our negligence
  1. We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. We also do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.

Indemnity

  1. You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the terms and conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of the www.bikesonlinestore.co.uk, or the use by any other person accessing www.bikesonlinestore.co.uk using your shopping account and/or your personally identifiable information.

SETTLING DISPUTES

  1. We do not take part in any dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and are not obliged to do so.

Jurisdiction

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with laws of England and Wales and industry custom and practice, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any claims or disputes (whether contractual or non-contractual) arising therefrom.
